Etonians Gain Top Organ Scholarships

Three Etonians have gained prestigious organ scholarships to Cambridge University this year: Marcus Norrey - Emmanuel, Donal McCann - King's and Victor Matthews - Trinity.  At any one time about 25 boys are learning the organ at Eton.  Boys play in nearly all of the Eton College chapel services, as well as playing concerts both in Eton and in a variety of venues around England; they also contribute to the community by playing for parish churches in the local area on a Sunday.

Eton also provides OrganWorks, an outreach project to local schools using our instruments and the Chapel stained glass windows as a focus.  Several of Eton organists get involved by teaching local children about the organ and performing in group concerts.
