Association score excellent victory in the cup
Ardingly 1 Eton 2 (after extra time)
Playing down the slope away from home, Eton took the lead halfway through the first half with a composed finish from Henri Ashe-Taylor after good work from Mungo Haldane. Ardingly looked dangerous on the break down their left hand side and in the second half started to dominate the match, scoring an equaliser from a goalmouth scramble after a corner. Eton rallied and came back strongly, twice nearly scoring a winner before full time. Extra time was a tense affair but Eton took the initiative when Joe Morris headed the ball in from close range. Few chances followed and Eton held out to claim an excellent victory.
