The Monday afternoon of December 4th saw the CCF cadets perform their Pass-off Parade in McCrum Yard, in front of Jafar Hall, parading in front of parents, staff, and the Inspecting Officer Colonel John Boyd MBE PARA.
The D Company Cadets showcased their marching prowess with a demonstration of drill, all under the command of B Company Cadets, before removing their jungle caps and donning their berets for the first time to begin their next stage of weapons training. The C Company Cadets were rewarded for their efforts in the JNCO Cadre Leadership training, with all cadets receiving promotions to both Lance Corporal and Corporal positions. Their training continues in the Lent Half with introductions to a variety of outdoor activities, including horse-riding, climbing, sailing, and canoeing. The B Company Cadets were rewarded for their persistence in the CCF Programme, with cadets receiving promotions to both Sergeant and Colour Sergeant.
We commend the CCF staff and cadets for the commitment to the CCF, and we would like to praise the cadets especially for their discipline throughout the Parade. The CCF will be hosting its Open Day in Lent and the CCF Tattoo in the Summer, which any boys and parents interested in the programme are welcome to attend.
